A points rule has more than a number
Read the event being counted, the points value and every condition attached to it. A rule might distinguish batting, bowling or fielding events, apply thresholds or specify exclusions. These are general ways scoring systems can work; the current activity's rules determine which apply. A table without its footnotes can be incomplete.
Keep the rules attached to the exact activity and match format. A cricket rule from one competition or platform need not apply elsewhere. Likewise, selection limits and scoring rules are different: being eligible to choose a player does not specify how that player's actions earn points.
Use a labelled calculation
Suppose a fictional activity awards two points for event A and five for event B. Three A events and one B event total eleven points: three times two, plus five. This is an arithmetic example, not a COME scoring table. If a rule includes a multiplier or penalty, first identify which subtotal it applies to before calculating.
A multiplier on one selected player's points is different from a multiplier on the entire team. A threshold bonus might apply once rather than on every event. Avoid filling an unstated gap with a rule remembered from another service. If the meaning is unclear, retain the wording and ask about that specific condition.
Compare the right event and time
Use the same event, selected players and result stage when comparing a calculation with the displayed total. A live or provisional total can change as data arrives or corrections are made under the rules. A final result has a different status. Record the time of your comparison and the displayed status before concluding that the total is wrong.
A scorecard provides sporting statistics; an activity applies its own points rules to those statistics. The scorecard's team total is therefore not a fantasy total. Also distinguish an account balance, reward figure or ranking from points. Each field needs a definition and unit.
Ask a question that can be answered
For a possible discrepancy, state the rule, the event you believe qualifies and the difference in your arithmetic. Describe only one issue at a time. Keep any activity reference and private account details within the product's help system. Do not post credentials, OTPs or full account screenshots publicly.
The task is complete when you can explain how a particular rule applies to a particular event, or identify the exact missing definition that needs clarification. Guessing a cash conversion or a guaranteed outcome does not resolve a points question. Participation conditions remain separate from the calculation itself.
